Eco-action: "Let's save Paučko Lake as a mountain eye"

The protected landscape Konjuh hides incredible beauties. One of them is the beautiful Spider Lake, which, surrounded by coniferous forests and with its biodiversity, attracts many tourists who love pristine nature.

Rafting club "Tuzlak" launched the project "Let's save Spider Lake as a mountain eye", which aims to actively involve citizens in protecting and increasing the attractiveness of Spider Lake in order to develop public awareness of the need to preserve it because it is one of only two natural lakes. type in the area of TK.

On May 9, 2021, 20 volunteers, members of the Rafting Club "Tuzlak" and eco-volunteers from the partner organizations Budi Muško from the association "Land of the Children of BiH" and the Youth Resource Center Tuzla participated in the eco-cleaning of the lake.

Volunteers who took part in the action had the opportunity to feel the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina through teamwork in cleaning the lake, try rowing and, like each individual, contribute to the preservation of nature that is becoming neglected in our area.

The action was carried out under the supervision of the ranger service of the Protected Landscape and the expert assistance of their supervisor, Dževad Softić. During the implementation of the action in the Protected Landscape, only the prescribed and minimal interventions were applied, while the rest was regulated by nature as planned.

The project "Let's save Lake Paučak as a mountain eye" is supported by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Environmental Protection of Tuzla Canton.

Tuzla: KUVI dialogue – “Veterans and young people”

Youth Resource Center Tuzla - ORC Tuzla hosted war veterans from Derventa, from the Association „Pravi Požar“ on May 24, 2021. We had the opportunity to hear the confessions, opinions and thoughts of these brave people, members of all military components in the war in BiH.

"I was skeptical, I don't want to hear much about the war, I avoided that topic, but the dialogue with the veterans was really interesting to me," commented one of the participants in the KUVI dialogue in Tuzla.

It is not easy to look at the story from all sides, listen to other people's experiences and talk about these topics, but it is also possible to contribute to thinking and understanding. We had the opportunity to hear such stories from our veterans and see the futility of war.

"I first prayed to God when I was wounded, when they told me I might not survive - I just prayed to be on time. Faith and hills are moving ... "said one of the veterans.

We thank the KUVI dialogue "Veterans and Youth" for giving our young people the opportunity for such an experience and conversation.

We would also like to thank the management of the Public Institution "Center for Culture Tuzla", who hosted us for this occasion and gave us space for this very interesting workshop.

With CATs in the community – CAT BiH & RTV7

The host, Azra Muderizović, in the fifth episode of the new series #SaMackamaUZajednici brings a story in Gornja Tuzla, Mango Equestrian Club. In the sixth episode of the new series #SaMackamaU Zajednici, she hosted the young team of the Tuzla Youth Theater, which is registered by the Association "MLADI TUZLE" Tuzla and a group of acting and production students from the Academy of Dramatic Arts at the University of Tuzla. #CATBiH in cooperation with Radio Television 7 Tuzla (# RTV7) is realizing this show, in which attention is paid to current social issues, the city, people, youth support, youth opportunities, civil sector, social activism and the like. "CAT Digital Academy" - Training Bijeljina

In cooperation with eminent youth workers from Serbia, Ivana Wolf and Marinela Šumanski, we bring you our Second Digital Academy for Social Network Managers!

The Digital Academy brought together 20 of the most motivated young social network managers from civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Offline module, was held for all participants of the Digital Academy in Bijeljina from 17 to 21 May.

We want to encourage a creative environment in which young people will feel comfortable and encouraged to start their campaign in the community.

After the live training, the participants of the Academy are able to launch their digital campaigns in partnership with other participants, which will, among other things, aim at one "onground" action in the community where they come from.

This activity is supported through the Bosnia and Herzegovina Resilience Initiative (BHRI) program.

PodCat with Malik

The guests of the new episode of PodCAT with Malik were young people from Bijeljina, Miloš Stanišić, a young councilor and Katarina Tomanić, a young activist from Bijeljina.

In the new episode, young people from Bijeljina talked with Malik about the budget for young people in Bijeljina, the opportunities or troubles that young people have at the local level and their future cooperation. VIDEO

REGULAR ACTIVITIES OF ORC AND HCA TUZLA

During May, we worked on maintaining and developing communications and coordination within the Youth Network of Bosnia and Herzegovina (www.omladina-bih.net). As part of that, we distributed information of interest to young people and youth activism in BiH to the mailing list of the network (posta@omladina-bih.net, alfbih@googlegroups.com), but also to other addresses in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. We corresponded with organizations and individuals interested in the work of the network, answered inquiries related to certain activities, education and other information related to youth activism in BiH. Also, our project team continued to apply for projects.

HCA / ORC PLANS FOR JUNE 2021

- We continue with the activities in the new CAT cycle - Expanding the Media Toolbox. Within this, we will continue with the realization of the II "Digital Academy" with young people from BiH, who will have the opportunity to work in their cities and local communities on digital campaigns that will aim at one street action in the communities from which campaign coordinators come. We will continue broadcasting the series "Cats in the local community", in cooperation with RTV7 Tuzla, continue filming "PodCat with Malik", this time with young councilors and councilors throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Boris Divkovic Foundation, Record 50 shows " CATPatrol ", which will be broadcast during the summer on one of the televisions with a national frequency in cooperation with FIST Production Sarajevo. Continuously continue with the online campaign (News and opportunities for young people, messages and voices of young people, video, photo, meme content), Realize 20 pub quizzes throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina on activism, peace building and trust, political and media literacy in cooperation with to our partners, Expand the CAT BiH team with young people from the Youth Group ORC Tuzla

- Continuation of activities within the ALF Network of BiH. As part of this, we will organize the First International Online Piano Competition "Sergei Rachmaninoff" in early June, and within the ALF Virtual Marathon for Dialogue in EuroMEd, and during June we will organize an annual meeting of the network, which will present the amended Agreement on Cooperation, And organize a conference for media and stakeholders where we will inform the public about the activities of the ALF BiH in the past period and plans for the future, We will inform you about this soon

Continuation of activities within the partnership project "Youth Rule on Law LAV (YroLL), whose holder is the Association" I BiH in the EU "from Sarajevo, and is supported by the European Union. The project will last 30 months. We will inform you about the activities in our newsletters.

Continuation of work on fundraising.

And, with Gods help, the beginning of the realization of the reconstruction of the attic above our offices, which we received from the city of Tuzla for use, and the opening of the Center for Activists of Tuzla. So far, we have managed to clean and dispose of garbage that has accumulated in the attic for decades (approximately 4-5 tons of paper, wood, sheet metal, glass and other garbage), but also find a lot of photos of Tuzla and activities of sports clubs and youth in the period 1960-1985. We plan to make an exhibition of these photos in the near future. In anticipation of the urban consent and the construction permit, we are moving slowly with the raising of funds.
