At the beginning of September 2001 we have started with new series of local youth campaigns in B/H cities, at the same time with the support at global level (press conferences, petitions, lobbing and sending letters to the B&H officials). Campaign topics were problems of youth organizations in B&H, some of the biggest ones were: lack of spaces for work, lack of cooperation, communication and understanding by the municipality authorities and lac of community interests for some of the local problems. So far we have implemented 11 local campaigns in: Banja Luka, Bihac and Unsko-Sanski canton, Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, Tuzla, Prijedor, Odzak and Modrica, Kakanj, Zvornik, Milici and Derventa. Results of those campaigns are really big. In many B&H cities youth organizations have regained their premises, or have received from municipality new ones to use. Beside this, with this campaign we have managed to raise awareness on the question of youth premises (youth houses, culture houses) and their current legal status on global level. One of the concrete results of these campaigns is cooperation with SOROS Open Society Fund Sarajevo and Youth Informative Agency Sarajevo, with whom we have signed cooperation memorandum. As a part of this, OIA and SOROS have provided additional funds for youth organizations – which are implementing these campaigns, for equipping their premises or continuation of campaigns. Also we had a good response and cooperation from OSCE B&H and their democratic centers, as well as political Resource Centers.
